Please help me to confirm this China Lady's manufacturer. Her face looks like a Kister but her details vary between Kister, Hertwig and Conta & Boehme. What do you say?
    mine/Hertwig - shaded iris
Conta & Boehme - often shaded, seldom outlined
    mine/Kister - upper lip low, far-spaced peaks
Hertwig - upper lip heart-shaped, lower lip deep oval
mine/Conta & Boehme - brows thin line gets heavier in middle
Other info on mine: 1860s, no marks, black boots lavender garters, Kister hairstyle but doesn't mean it couldn't have been copied.
Thank You for your time. Joan

She is a High Brow China and I don't see any distinct feature to ID her maker . Who made her is really not important since many companies did variations if the high brow and sometimes called "Flat top" dates 1860s-70s. Very nice ! Very few records were kept on these China dolls. Her value doesn't change by maker it is all about the face charm ,damage ,original body and clothes . I love her

Thank you for your reply. And now I know what the difference is between 'High Brow' and 'Low Brow' China dolls. I realize that the period's manufacturer's each made these, but these China ladies fascinate me and I personally love attempting to identify them for my collection's history pages. I have read that 'Hertwig' always identifies their China's so I don't believe this one is hers. Much appreciated.

I agree some China's are more easily identified to a maker like Kling and Hertwig . Your China is lovely and very serene pleasant face :-) I hope you will be able to pin down her maker .
