Good Morning
I had a great time checking out your web site and your services and merchandise.
I am looking for a bit of assistance....
I recently retired and finally have time to research a poster I purchased 20 years ago.
I am pretty darn sure the poster is pre World War Two.
1. The poster is mounted on particle board as was the practice 30s and 40s
2. The picture says it was taken by fleet air base (an earlier name of a military department mostly pre war)
3. May be a picture of What is now Hilo
4. The poster has a tag affixed to the particle board “Davis Gallery” Honolulu
(A well known early merchant)
5. I understand the condition of the poster is not so good
I am hopeful for your input and or other sources I might use to solve my mystery.
Thank you for your consideration
Jackie

In your title, there is an error.....the Hilo Sugar Company was in the town of Hilo which is located on the island of Hawaii (also called ‘The Big Island’)....it can be a bit confusing because the Island of Hawaii is located in the State of Hawaii.
Oahu is a different island. The framer of the picture was in Honolulu (on Oahu).
There’s a nice long history of Hilo Sugar Co if you Google it. Its a great picture of times not so long ago when sugar cane was big business in Hawaii.
Thanks for posting it!
And welcome to CW!!
