OK y'all...let's play GUESS THE HUBCAP ?!! :-)
I found these two oldies recently. They're made of sturdy metal once shiny chrome plated, now rusty and flaking off in places. Seen here having only been brushed off a little, they're still also dirty (especially inside) with stuff likely not worth trying to clean off...they wouldn't look any better, maybe even worse...?? They're about 14" across, with a simple conical shape.
What they DO NOT have is the *slightest* bit of any logo or branding, nor any stampings, part numbers, or anything else that could tell me who made them, what kind of car they might have belonged to, and how old it might have been...???
I'll guess a 1940's something, but what?? Does anybody have a clue for me??
