It is always a good day when I can add a trench art airplane to my collection.
This one is an unusual P-47 Thunderbolt. Any plane other than a P-38 is unusual to find.
This one sits on a 105 artillery casing. with a 37 mm central casing. The central casing can be lifted out and appears to have been made to hold cigarettes. This is not a configuration that I have seen before.
My trench art and my photos, do not copy/ post/ or use my photos in any form without permission.

Thanks pacem-- yes, the good ones are harder to find now.
Also, a lot of pieces are being made from older ordnance, so there are many pitfalls for new collectors.

Thanks again pacem.
Agree with you-- lots of fakes in lots of collecting areas.
It pays to do the research and ask for help from a trustworthy old timer!
