Original 1920's antique jewelers safe from lower east side Manhattan, New York. Owned by famous Hyman Pruskin(World War II Veteran and latter famous jeweler). Hyman used this incredible safe for 70 years. This safe is Mosler patented. Double doors on the outside and inside vault door. Key to the inside vault. Outside dial combination . An incredible piece of history. Dimensions are 5ft tall, 3 ft wide, and 2 ft in depth.
Are you saying that it hasn't been restored? It looks like it's in fantastic shape. I bet that sucker weighs a lot!
It looks like the ones that are about 600 pounds in weight. I had a job where I was required to move these by myself, which I did not mind - just nothing heavier !~
I believe it weighs over 2,000 lbs! Trying to move it has proven to be outside of my realm of expertise!
Yeah it looks like a lot of steel! Your probably close on that guess...probably 1500 to 2200 lbs. My 2 newer high end safes are similar size and weigh about 800 lbs each. Technology has advanced a lot.
Like the sticker on the top "dead end 17". As in you aint getting in here!
