    $1 seemed like a bargain for this little hammer. Couldn't find one like it but assume it's either watchmakers or jewelers hammer. Haven't ever seen one with such a thin handle.

      Could have been for hammering aluminium ware or copper ware, too.

      Compared to the Dime you can see how little it really is.

      could be a test hammer of some sort, like testing a vessel for cracks. I've seen hammers that were used to tap the stays of a steam pressure vessel. The difference in sound can determine if the vessel stay is broken inside. That being said, the boiler test hammer is larger.
