Pictured here is a green pyro quart milk bottle from M.H. LAIPSON MILK...WORCHESTER MASSACHUSETTS. It features a Mother Hubbard nursery rhyme as follows MOTHER HUBBARD WENT TO THE CUPBOARD TO GET HER POOR DOG A BONE. INSTEAD SHE GAVE HIM LAIPSON'S MILK AND MY HOW THAT DOG HAS GROWN.
Some collectors focus their collections around local dairies, while other collectors specialize theirs in theme related areas such as war slogans, baby tops, Disney characters, or nursery rhymes. This Mother Hubbard picture is an uncommon design that I've not seen many times. A great addition to a collection.
Was watching Modern Marvels and now know that "eating her curds and whey.." referred to early cottage cheese.
