I made this from a casting kit to shell popcorn at engine shows. It works great for shelling those small Indian popcorn sold at stands in the fall of the year.
I let children turn the crank that shells the corn and than direct them to have their mom pop it in the microwave oven as a treat of something that they participated in at an engine show.
The sheller is a 1/2 scale model of a Buch corn sheller made in Elisabeth, PA.
Photo #1 shows a cast name plate that I recovered from a relic Buch Mfg. Co. lawn roller and was the right size to mount into my sheller.
The sheller works exactly like the full sized Buch Shellers (I also have an original full size one), shelling the corn and sending the empty cob out the end of the sheller while dropping the corn kernels into the bbl.
