Such detailed enamel work on this KJL bee brooch!! Love the color in the wings especially. The two cabochon eyes bring a dimensional look and realism to the piece. Wonderful and perfect for springtime wear!!!!
Very nice! A lot of detail!
Princess Beatrice always wears a bee brooch!
Love the colours on this- admittedly a bee brooch in the startling colours of red, green and black is rarely seen(you'd expect yellow and black!) but this is really great, he's so detailed too, love his little curled feet too :P
What a fantastic little bee!!! I love it.

FreshAir thank you so much for your wonderful praise, I was absolutely lucky to find this KJL bee with the colorful enamel wings as a plainer B&W version was also made, and I think the pearly colors really enhance the piece - glad you agree :)
Thank you MrsT for your super comment, it truly does have an abundance of detail, and has quite a bit of realism I thought
Thanks Celiene for your lovely comment about Princess Beatrice, it is nice to be in royal company here! I love to see the jewels the royals wear, for example the Richmond brooch that Queen Elizabeth wore at her husband's funeral was quite elegant
Lauren you are amazingly observant, yes the usual striped bee is the yellow & black bumblebee, I instantly thought of that bee when I got this brooch but since he used white (not yellow or amber) rhinestones just left it at "bee." The curled feet just add to the realism I agree, thank you for your superb comment
Thank you Scott for your fabulous praise, I have not posted a Kenneth Jay Lane piece in awhile & am so glad you loved it
Ditto Mani and Penny, appreciate your kind words & delighted that you both loved this bee, isn't it nice to see one that is just pretty to look at & can't sting you lol
Alfie thank you for your great compliments, KJL made some fab designs often stretching reality, but except for the fancy colored wings I concur that this bee design is spot on
Thank you vintagelamp for your really nice compliment, it's so kind of you and I'm truly glad you found this bee beautiful
Jenni! A beautiful BZZ BZZ!!!
Pascale I always think of you when I find a cute buzzer, and was hoping you would see this!! Thanks so much for your wonderful comment & love my friend
Thank you Pacem for your kind comment & enjoying the colors here, if only in real life we could see bees with such colorful wings!
Many thanks for the love

Kenneth Jay Lane made some beautiful pieces of jewelry. I have some pieces by him, if I'm not mistaken, would have to look. Great bee brooch!
Thank you Katherine for your super comment, I agree that K. Lane made some beautiful jewelry, often a bit overdone but always eye catching. Glad you enjoyed this bee!
Many thanks Bruce for the love, it is most kind of you & very pleased that you liked this KJL bee
