Here's one more of the "things" that I tend to watch out for and glom onto when I find them orphaned in junk drawers and such -- just because they're FUN. ;-) :-) Lately while digging thru other things I've been setting them all aside in a little cardboard box together, which has now become slightly more full than I might have realized?! (and no doubt I'll continue to come across them...lots of boxes of lamp parts and stuff around here that haven't 'been into' lately...)

For the most part these all are little brass bits meant to hold lampshades to their harps, or to hold light fixtures to their mountings. Some still have other little bits of hardware threaded on, one or two are nickel (probably) plated.

This is what I love about CW - a collection that is a bit obscure but filled with interest and beauty.

I totally understand this. I keep these parts as well. Not for a collection, but for use on other projects. An abundant source of a little extra bling.

When I collect lamps, I always look for one's that have retained their original finials. I just added a "new" Stiffel to my collection with its original solid brass finial. It is always disappointing to find a nice lamp that is missing its finial.
