What I have learned so far is that this is a US issue MK British helmet. What I haven't been able to find out is anything about the markings in it other than the name Pitts and of course the year. Not sure what the other letters and numbers represent. Anyone with knowledge on these helmets is welcome to share it with me. I purchased it at an antique store in Lubbock, Texas for $11.
