    This was in a box from a farm auction, not sure what it is though. Appears to be some kind of release mechanism, part of a hay trolley?

      Appears to be a latch of some kind. Because of the looped ends to each section, it may have been fastened to rope of some sort.
      If it wasn't made for it, It would make a good animal tie out.
