I have been collecting pieces with this little guy since 2012, He was created by John Ruhl who designed a lot of pieces for Hirsch around 1922-25 when Douglas Fairbanks was lighting up the silent screen in a number of swashbuckling pirate movies. This one needs to be rewired, it through a circuit when I plugged it in. The globe is not original to the lamp, I haven't seen one with an original globe yet.
About a half dozen have turned up on eBay lately, before now I had never seen one. I guess COVID has a number of people purging their closets, attics, and basements.
