Found this beauty on Armslist, was wanting a rolling block and this one fit the bill. Wasn't even sure what caliber it was, had to cast the chamber to find out. It looked to be in excellent shape and was within my budget. Once I found out the caliber, 43 Spanish, I was able to find a resource for some ammo. It was modern brass that uses shotgun primers and smokeless powder. It shoots nicely for being close to 125 years old. Still haven't been able to confirm where it was issued but Costa Rica is a possibility.
Are you SURE smokeless is OK in this ?
Self correcting, if it isn't! Be careful!!

I bought it from Aardvark labs in Florida, he specializes in obsolete/hard to find ammunition. It's no where near what I would consider a "hot" load. It shoots just fine, smells kind of like a shotgun.
