Hi,I would love to know more about this French Mantel clock like was the exact name of this clock or style,age we are missing the key so the working condition is unknown thank for reading /viewing and thank for you help identifying this clock .

Frenchies can be tough to nail down. The movements were manufactured in large numbers and sold to clock makers for casing. Please lot of business records were destroyed in the European wars. Many of the printed reference materials are in French.
I would call this case style a tall Doric Arch.
The Cup Bell is removable. If you can ease it off, please post a sharply focused, well light photo of the back of the movement. That *might* help us to identify and date the movement. From there we could make some assumptions about the date of the clock.
If you can get an accurate measurement of the size of the winding arbor we could give you the key size.

I think that tour clock is likely from the mid 1800's.

AD Mougin was a well-known French clock maker
He worked in the mid 1800's in the French clock making region of Montbeliard (near the Swiss border)
He won two gold medals for his clocks: ‘Deux Medailles’ on his trademark which can be found stamped on the back movement plate of his clocks.
You may be able to find more information by doing an internet search on his name.
