Hello everyone!!
I recently found this cold painted bronze Gordon Setter. She's nicely detailed with minimal paint loss and she's also the first Gordon Setter in my collection. She once had a pheasant or duck in her mouth, but unfortunately that's long gone. She's still quite a beauty to me. She's from the very early 1900's. She's unmarked, so I don't know which foundry made her. She measures 5" long, 3" tall and she's solid bronze.
Thank you all very much for stopping in for a look!!

Fantastic bronze setter, she's a real beauty with lovely detail
The rich colours are done beautifully here, I love the size as a large one I would lose interest in, superb !~
Superb find!
Very realistic and nice!
Phil,,
Thanks very much my friend!! I too love the rich colors of this one as well.
Kyra,
Thank you so very much! I know that you, like myself, have a great appreciation of cold painted bronze pieces.
Mrstyndall,
Thank you!! Yes, she does have a very realistic appearance.
Eileen,
Thanks!! We never had a Gordon when I was a child, but my family bred Irish Setters. Our dame was named Penny and our sir was named Rufus. They produced some incredibly beautiful puppies. I always hated when they were sold since we'd all became very attached to each one.
Jenni,
Thank you so very much! She is quite a beautiful setter.
