I started magnet fishing in Newport KY after seeing videos of this "sport" by some guy in Amsterdam and it looked like a fun retirement hobby. I hope to find some military-style memorabilia since the old Newport Barracks was at the spot where the Licking and Ohio Rivers meet! I moved further down the Licking River and was underneath a bridge when I found this old pulley...my only find my 1st day magnet fishing! It was found in water underneath a bridge. I was hoping someone can tell me what it was used for. Boat related? Bridge construction related? Something else? Thanks for any assistance!

Fairly modern, to light duty for bridge construction. Looks more like it belonged on a sail boat.

Thank you for the feedback. One of the maintenance guys from my apt bldg said it was from a sail boat too. Appreciate it!
