This is a small Welz rose bowl in amber glass. It has diagonal ribs going one way and pale green stripes going the other way. Image three discloses a high UV content in the green stripes, even without a black light. All in image four are the same décor and on all the uranium effect can be seen at the foot.
    Height and Diameter 9cm./4 inches.

Really love the way that the ribs & stripes cross over, brings extra style to this simple form effortlessly!

      scottvez, thanks.

Thanks Marin, I liked that, unlike others. it doesn't have the raised rim with applied rigaree. At the same time it is the same décor as more complex pieces.

you are fortunate the whole trio

I love the vase. The ribs are tricky : they go straight (pic.3) or twist in a very smart way (pic.1 and 3).

Thank you, Kivatinitz, I am indeed fortunate.

Iwona, the ribs are a testament to the skill of the mould maker. The stripes owe their regularity to the glass maker. And the designer plays a part too. A lot of skill for something the size of a grapefruit! Often we don't think of that.

Peggy, I really like what you said about the skills needed to make this piece. I love the simple overall shape, but complexity of the decor.
