Copper metalwork unknown

Have no idea what to even call it, has some intricate designs. Looks like it may have had a chain on it, or some kind of handle. Has a raised spot off to one side on what I would consider the lower end. Heart shaped opening, floral and leaves with other designs. Also has two animals, possibly deer. Absolutely no markings to identify it by. Feel free to educate me if you can.
