I have searched Singer sewing machine databases and cannot find the model number or year this machine was made. It is fully functional and it is in use, but I would like to be able to service that lamp so it can be used again. Please help me find the model number so I can locate a manual.
Meant to say fully functioning and usable.

Per the Singer serial number tables at the International Sewing Machine Collectors' Society website, serial number AB430689 was one of a block of 50,000 consecutive serial numbers (425151 through 475150) allotted by the central office to one of Singer's factories on January 18 1927, and all of them were destined to be stamped into the beds of model 66 machines:
AB- 425151 475150 66 50000 January 18 1927
AB- 573276 623275 66 50000 April 19 1927

It's not possible to say exactly when your particular machine rolled off of the assembly line, but being that there was no world war in progress in 1927, it's probably not an unreasonable assumption to think that it was made before the allotment date (April 19 1927) of the next pertinent block of numbers.
So, a Singer model 66. :-)
