I'd seen this before but when I looked at it again recently realised it wasn't just a piece of Depression Glass as it had that oily finish you see on Welz or Kralik so it needed to come home with me. It isn't as obvious as some pieces but definitely there. Any ideas?? Bowl is 230mm long and 65mm at it's highest point.
It's a Stretch Glass banana dish. There used to be a very good website covering this type of glass, but it no longer exists for free. Some of the makers were Fenton, Diamond, Northwood, Central, Imperial, US-Tiffin and a few others.
It's all post Carnival Glass, Pre-Deprerssion Glass. The colors used for depression glass were in use before the Depression.
The items were sprayed for a dope while hot out of the mold, then reheated and their shapes altered, which caused the stretch-onion skin like look.

Hi John, thanks for the identification and the links. The last one will make some interesting reading.
