my SEIKO wristwatch

For user Wallas, here's a few quick pics of the SEIKO watch I bought myself for a High School graduation present, ca. 1983. It has been my "good watch" ever since, and frankly now shows it with the wear to its finish...? <groan> I kinda think I had its crystal replaced once after an unfortunate incident, other than that just a new battery every couple yrs or so keeps it keeping perfect time. I don't remember what the now yellowed little plastic sticker on its backside said.

I didn't take the time now to locate them, but I'm certain I still also have both the original display case and cardboard box it came in, as well as a little plastic bag with the two or three links removed to shorten its band so I could wear it properly. (it fits a little tighter now, but still fits!) If I remember correctly, it cost me somewhere around 300 of my then *very* hard earned dollars...it was nowhere near the top-of-the-line Seikos in the department store display case, but it wasn't the 'bottom dollar' one either... ;-) ;-) :-) :-)
