Found in the Sierra Nevada mountains in California. Near the Garlock Ghost Town.
Which would put it on the edge of the Kawaiisu and the Timbisha Shoshone Tribe areas.
I didn't find anything else around that spot and have found no other native items in the area.
The bottom is flat, both sides show signs of impact damage.
The rock is basalt, one of the hardest densest stones in the area.
It would have taken weeks of work to shape this. There also is no running water in the area.

4 7/8 inches long
3 3/8 at the widest
2 3/4 at the narrowest
