What a wonderful snail!! He's much bigger than I thought.
Get some salt! Very cool...
The swirl has become hypnotic in the snail, like wild eyed wonder in a vision store. Magical !~
Cute little glass snail- I adore the twisty turniness of him- the glass is one long piece just turned, right?! It's such a nice, surreal twist(!) on a snail, he reminds me of something you'd see in a Salvador Dali painting...
You rarely see snails depicted in any kind of sculpture and art and it's a shame, I know they can be pests in gardens and kinda yucky, especially when it comes to slugs but I do find their shells very pretty
Snails are special ..they sing you know, yours is cool.
say what ,,...young lady form Ireland... Y snails are every where .. '-)

Did you know ,…According to ancient Hawaiian legend, the snails here sing in the trees at night. There are over 30 traditional Hawaiian songs and chants that mention tree snails., Something to think about,… Have a nice day all .. ‘-))
A beautiful snail !
I like this snail, the colors work so well on this piece!
Can I click the Love Button a few more times?????

Thank you Scott for your wonderful comment, yes this snail is a rather big heavy fella, especially thick around the circular center
Lol Dave, if this guy were crawling toward me I'd certainly get out the salt! Though to be honest, when younger I tried garlic escargots, not bad - until I found out what they really were! Super fun comment thanks so much :)
Phil thank you for the fabulous praise, this is quite a magical piece and if you stare at the center it gets rather hypnotic like those old 'brain tease' paintings where you were supposed to unfocus your eyes & see shapes lol. This snail was a great find for me because it is so unusual
Thanks so much Lauren for your awesome comment, here is the snail I promised you & I'm delighted you liked him! Yes the glass is one big twisty piece, and isn't it cool the way they have brown speckles in the center, sorta looks like a big lollipop & agree its quite artistic. Of course I knew you meant they are rare in decor not on land, where they can be rather pesky
LazyBoy thanks so much for your great comment & info about snails singing and the Hawaiian legends, those traditional songs & chants must be beautiful. Of course snails are part of our ecosystem & the real ones don't really bother anybody, we mostly see the slug type after heavy rains around gardens here
Thank you Alfie for your terrific comments, yes please hit the love button as often as you like & what a wonderful compliment, I appreciate it very much!
MrsT I'm so glad you enjoyed the colors in this snail, they are sort of natural brown but enhanced with the speckles. I really love the way Wedgwood colors their animals, have a couple more to come. Thank you for your always lovely comment
Thank you for the kind love
