Gien plate 18th century beautiful design with unknown additional markings. I found this lovely plate at a garage sale. I am new to collecting and it took me a long time in searching to try and identify the maker. Normally I typically only search for older books. There are a few other plates and pottery pieces I picked up from this same sale that was much easier to find information on.

Wanting to see if perhaps someone might know what the impressed mark of what I believe might be an "S" may be for? I am not sure what the small character is that is before this.

Faïencerie de Gien began in 1821, I think.
Check out this site for the mark dating to post 1875.
