I bought this beauty new and had tons of fun. Bought 1998 Honda CBR1100XX in 1998 and so Suzuki took 2nd fiddle. Hasn't been started in 3+ years but I had done a lot of restore work and custom paint. Truth is I just don't have the time or $$$ to continue. I'm in Orange County CA and if you appreciate the classics and want to adopt her (free to good home) let me know. Tom 714-299-4589

Nice bike, nice idea. I gave away the 1984 Rabbit GTI that I bought new after having it for 19 years. It was in great shape but just on the edge of needing to be restored so I gave it to someone I knew who was a VW afficianado. Just make sure it goes to someone who will not just resell it. Thinking about doing that with my 1984 BMW R67 as I don't ride much anymore....

Shame I don't live in the USA. These were great bikes and the engine was more powerful than the one in the GSXR1100 of the time. Here in NZ Bob Toomey stuck one in a GSXR1100 slabby chassis dropped a set of smoothbores on and won the local F1 title. Same guy went on to be Kenny Roberts the youngers mechanic when he won the world title.
