katherines…

So out today wandering about I came across this weaving, which Google seems to indicate is a prayer mat? 45" x 25", it appears to be hand woven and pieced together, perhaps vegetable dyed as some of the coloring is washed out. Looks like mosques and minarets around a tree and lots of birds. Perhaps a signature in one corner, I posted it from both sides, not knowing which is the correct orientation. I'm hoping someone here can help me as to what part of the world it came from, since it seems every region has their own style of mat. Also any guess as to age would be appreciated. I love the design and art of it. Thanks for looking!
Thanks, fortapache, and Vynil33rpm, for the love!
