Can anyone help to identify this small sofa? I have two matching side chairs as well which appear to be “bucket chairs” in style. They were gifts from my mother, and have very unusual balusters hold up the bent wood toprail. No manufacturer marks that I have found. I think they are in an Art Deco or Art Nouveau style. Thanks in advance!

      I'd call it a settee.

Appears to be modern-- late 20th century piece. A photo of the bottom may show some more details.

Thanks Scott, I agree it is 20th century, and settee is much more accurate name. The bottom has no labeling or markings of significance. Just black cambric that was stapled in place when it was last reupholstered 30 years ago. I think the U-shaped balusters are the most significant style feature. If I knew thew name of that shape or style I'm sure I could get closer to solving this puzzle. I've been wondering for years. My wife does not much like the settee and matching chairs but since they were a gift from my mother before she passed, I am loathe to part with them.

      It's a Mandolin shape I think.

Or Harp shaped is probably a better description - sorry.
