Any ideas on this little lad? No markings at all, heavy patina on the bum and head but I've absolutely no idea on the age or origin. Absolutely love him though, look at that little face!

He looks like an ancient Cypriot jug like this guy but I'm absolutely sure he's not anywhere near that old. Anyone know about reproductions of these?

It's a good example of two of the main rules of antique collecting: museum replicas of items in their collections have been produced probably as long as museums have existed. And items have been found in other areas than where they were created, ever since people started trading, and traveling, and acquiring souvenirs.
