Improved Thirty Hour Brass Weighted Clock, George Marsh, Winsted, Conn

Hello. Very novice here. My family asked my daughter if she'd like to work on restoring this clock as a 4-H project. She has worked on various restoration projects to include a crank phone, and a door from the early 1900s, but never a clock. From the research she has done, we believe this clock was made in the mid-1860s. Or perhaps a bit later. From the limited find via research, it appears Marsh joined other family members at some point in creating clocks.
We appreciate any help that this expert community can provide. She is interviewing family members, but unfortunately, none recall the time frame this clock was manufactured. Thank you in advance for your time and thoughts.
