Hello these were my grandmothers I’m 61 and I was just curious if anybody knows anything about these unfortunately my thieving stepfather decided that he was going to take a stone out and get it appraised it was such an idiot push the fact that he took it out of the front of the necklace looks really kicks me off if anybody could help me find a stone to replace it with would be fantastic to
Maybe you (a jeweler, that is) could transplant the last stone by the hook to fill the empty place in front??
Lovely Weiss set! AnythingObscure is right. It should be an easy fix. I just recently fixed a similar necklace by taking out one stone. It took along time and a steady hand. Good luck.
Unfortunately he was a fool, probably never got charged for the "appraisal" ! Weiss was a common but good jeweller of the period. Have owned many by him.
Your Granny had great taste! I love the dramatic colors and clear design. I hope you are able to have it repaired. And wear it! :)
