The two upstairs bedrooms off the loft and half bath area face the front of the house. One is slightly larger than the other because at some point they added closets on the dividing wall which took up 3 feet of floor space. I choose the larger one for my room and the smaller one will become a guest room / study. The ceilings are slanted on one side and I cant tell you how many times I've beaned my head forgetting they are like that...lol. My Simmons brass bed has quite a bit of patina and wear but I don't really mind. Not sure if it could ever be returned to it's original gleam. It is dated 1911 on the frame. The Victorian dresser is walnut with simple wooden drawer pulls. The mirror swivels and tilts and is set into the top by just a large dowel. On top sit a smaller pair of crystal prism lamps and a Waltham mantel clock. The "Kimball" Mahogany Carved Rose Gentlemen's Chair which I posted a while ago finally has the perfect spot . Surprisingly my sister told me she had the matching lady's chair which is now in the other bedroom. -Mike-
Thanks for the "love" Kevin :)
Mike,
You've really outdone yourself with this awesome house. I love this and all of the renovations you've posted. It's sure a beauty!!
Very nice your house looks warm & inviting.
Love the Scottie!
Thanks so much Scott...when my sister bought the property 3 years ago she said she'd need my help. I told her no problem but this would be my "Swan song" so to speak. Even if I were 10 years younger I could have done much more instead of hiring small work crews to tackle the more physical stuff . I hated having strangers in the house with some of it completed and furnished. My nephew was a God send though ! He's in his early 30's ....remember those years. :)
