Here is a 2x2" goldtone cheetah design brooch with rhinestone wrap, moving tail & pair of green eyes, marked Florenza (1949-1981) and ca the 1960s. Alongside a 4 1-4"H faceted crystal cheetah made by Swarovski in 1994, retired design #183225
I love them both, especially the goldtone cheetah!!
For a start I somehow thought the cheetah brooch was an upside down ballerina! :P (Don't ask me how! XD) I now see him in all his glory and I love the fact he looks like an ordinary housecat when you try to pick them up around their middle and they sorta stretch out like that! As for the glass cheetah, he is positively majestic, so serene, strong and powerful looking- looks like he should be sitting guarding something!
Their both lovely but the crystal cheetah does it for me ..'-)) have a good day.
At first glance I though crystal cheetah was preparing to eat brooch cheetah but then I got sensible.
Both gorgeous and such a fun post Jenni! (even if you didn't mean it to be.....)
Both are wonderful !~
Thank you for the love everybody

Thank you Scott for your terrific comment, I'm so glad you liked these cheetahs! Yes the brooch is pretty cool, it was made by others with different coats (leopard, tiger etc) but I love cheetah coats, and this one by Florenza has cool touches like a rhinestone 'diaper' and moving tail
Lauren I can see the ballerina doing a swan dive lol, the thumbnail is always confusing til you see the pic up close. That's true, house cats stretch like that when you lift them, and if not for the spotted coat he could be modeled on a regular cat :) I love the proud head tilt of the crystal cheetah, he's definitely guarding something, super comment & insights thanks so much
Thanks LazyBoy for your great comment and I am so glad you liked the Swarovski cheetah, it is a retired design but since then they have made others. I love their sparkly faceted crystal but the bigger pieces like this are so darn pricey, so I did not get this new but from an antique site
Lol Karen I'm glad you could see a laugh in this pairing, it is easy to imagine the big one flipping his tail and eating the 'baby', probably because I hooked the brooch onto the crystal tail so it would show up better. You know cause I've said it that I hate to photograph clear glass, it seems to blend into the background, so this Swarovski cat needed a friend so you could see him :) Awesome comment that brought me a smile today, thank you!!
Phil thank you for your fabulous praise, I'm so glad you enjoyed this cheetah combo, I don't do many pairings lately and am really grateful for your kind words about this one
