The statement necklaces in this post adhere to the accepted definition of “vintage.” In other words, they are 20 and more years old. All design and maker companies are out of business. Of course, we all know to collect beautiful D’Orlan; but if you are looking for a new focus, perhaps consider J. Crew: some amazing pieces.

The heron is beautiful!
It's true, some of the modern companies make some very beautiful pieces. One antique and vintage jewelry youtuber calls them "future vintage". I enjoy your collection very much. I think each of these pieces has very strong design and will hold and increase in value over time. Good eye!
Watchsearcher — I was hoping to find a large eagle, like Lady Gaga wore to the inauguration of 46. This is the large bird I discovered. Like it a lot, even if not an eagle.
valentino97 — Thank you. Some of the J. Crew statement pieces are becoming findable now … and are so interesting; I’m thinking “Coro in the 1980s.” Am I wrong? I don’t know. I just found a vanilla milk glass design that I should post later on. Yet, a lady I was talking to recently tells me that silver is enjoying a resurgence among new collectors, as well.

How much does that first necklace weigh?? And that crane is spectacular!
Thank you, Celine, for your comment. It’s heavy, definitely. Thank you for naming this bird brooch. Ha. I have edited.
