As a Sign and pump Picker I’m always amazed at how things sometimes fall in to place. I had never seen nor heard of this porcelain Penn Railroad sign before 3 weeks ago when I was offered one by a friend in MN while we were looking at his Collection. He showed me his and asked if I was interested in buying it since he doesn’t collect RR signs. I was thrilled and bought it as I’d never seen one before. Big 5’ porcelain sign. A week later I get a call from a collector friend in WY asking if I’m interested in a Penn RR sign. What? I almost fell over when he sent me the pix of nearly the same sign. Yes I bought it too! The other one is missing the logo that is in the center of this sign. It has a hole in the center where obviously a logo was attached to the center of the sign. It’s an amazing world filled with coincidences and quirks. I love the hunt! This sign just got delivered today. Not perfect but pretty decent.
