Hi everyone. Today I have this pair of bases that may be early Victorian. I’m pretty sure they are an opaline glass of some kind. Pretty thin. These measure 5 in tall and 4 1/2 in at the widest point. They have a crimped and ruffled rim treatment and what remains of gold decoration. Appears to once have been a pair of single stem flowers crossing..... also gold along the very edge of the mouth and around the base. The color is an unusual very light blue. Rough pontils on both and when observed through light you can see several bubbles and impurities, along with a fiery opalescence. I believe they may be French ...etc. any help on these would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone.
P.S. These photos don't really show the true color of these vases. It is more of a thin, nearly transparent blue to bluish gray.
