Whenever I find keys I keep them, occasionally I buy a jars at estate sales, sometimes just find them on the ground. Some of the ones I set aside are a P&F Corbin key from Topeka cutlery shop, some old Model T Fords, and older Master padlock keys. The SO&G I found at work, Shamrock Oil and Gas, the refinery was built in the '30s I'm sure the key isn't that old. Through a Merger became Diamond Shamrock, now it is Valero. Wasn't able to find much information on Topeka cutlery shop but the key looks pretty old.
I love old keys too..that Master lock key with the Lion...I had a 1970 chevelle that I installed hood pins on. I replaced one pin with a master lock that had the Lion motif on it. Bought it at an Ace Hardware store. Drove for a few years with it on..then someone stopped me in the parking lot and offered me some stupid price for it...I sold it right there.
I believe I have an old brass Master with the lion on the key, I'll have to see if I can find it. Sometimes wish you could put more than 4 pictures on the posts.
I bet I've got some of the lionhead MASTER keys in my big boxful (recently shown) but would have to go digging to be sure -- I know there's an antique FORD one or two like yours in there!
Kool Keys ????
I’ve been looking for the key of life
The question marks were supposed to be Piano Keys
But the Keystone Cops don’t allow emoji’s
I have piano keys too, and organ keys, and all sorts of every other kinda keys we can think of, probably . . . just one more of the 'afflictions' that is my 'collections'. . . ??
I have some skeleton keys and a locking mechanism with knobs on I will post. I also separated the little keys that may unlock some of my piggy banks that I don't have keys for. Not sure if they would be worth posting but I may think about it.
Also should mention that the bail seal jar is only Master padlock keys.
