I got this bronze bookend pair at an estate sale and was trying to find out what this design was called or what these guys are. I know they aren’t pirates but look similar to them. Any thoughts?

Nice ones! Your set of bookends are titled "Cyrano De Bergerac". They are Pompeian Bronze "bronze clad" and are circa. 1920. A fairly rare set of bookends.

They are french conquistadors, standard pose since they started making them over a hundred years ago.

They look like they are from the 70's to 80's - few years shy of 100. wow.
