Hello everyone!!
Here's another of my cast iron Dachshund boot scrapers. Unlike my others, with the ring tails, this one has a straight tail. He also has his tongue sticking out. These are much harder to find than those with the ring tail. These were made with and without the tongue sticking out. Those with the tongue sticking out, like this one, are also the hardest ones to find. This one is also a solid cast iron piece. He is from the 1920's. He measures 22 1/4" long, 7 1/2" tall and 6 3/4" at his widest point. He weighs in at nearly 30lbs!! Another rusty one that I had to clean and repaint.
Thanks very much for stopping in for a look!!!

I love his face he has such a happy look. You did a fabulous job restoring him too. Another awesome find for your fantastic collection!!!!
He's a wonderful doxie, such an eager playful look & great red tongue accent
Well this one sure does have more character and details, other than that red tongue. I think you better keep this one on a leash, he's too cute, someone may try to walk away with him! LOL
FreshAir,
You're too kind! Thank you so much.
Jenni,
Thank you so very much!!
Lori,
Thank you!! Yep, he's full of character. As heavy as he is, I doubt anyone would want to walk away with him:)

I missed both of these Scott!
I could never scrape my boots on your two wonder dogs!
Karen,
Thank you!! Though they're all lined up next to our back steps, I don't think anyone has or ever will scrape their shoes on any of these.

Thanks Eileen!!
Boot scrapers were a must have at every door back in the day. With no paved streets and horse manure around, you had to scrape your shoes or boots before entering a home or building.
