Thanks to Ales, larksel on CW, I have been privileged to have these documents he acquired from a seller in Europe. These relate to a 1925 letter from the Ruckl head office to a Paris wholesale buyer. As well as a partial page of a catalog for cut crystal pitchers, and a religious design drawing for a Catholic church inventory.
Ruckl was a provider of decorative glass items for the RC church, they were devout and kept their church affiliation till the company passed into a consortium of owners after Jiri Ruckl died in 2017.
This is also an opportunity to share one of my latest cut crystal jardiniere-dish in a lemon tinge color, 21 cm. The seller had no identification, but a challenge always appeals to me and the piece was gorgeous. When you look at the pitchers, the type of cut crystal design style with the modern approach might be Ruckl as well. More to follow.
sweet....
I look forward to hearing more about both the documents and especially the glass.
Love the shape and subtle colour of that bowl Lisa.
Interesting they used English as a common language back then, isn't it?
