Hello I just found this in a bag with some scrap silver coins, I don’t remember it being there so must have forgotten I even had it, wondering what it is?? Can only imagine that it is a pendant, but not seen one before, anyone know for sure??
See: https://www.tiffany.com/jewelry/shop/return-to-tiffany/
Without checking that link, it's a keychain I think...if one "found" a set of keys with this, take them to Tiffanys and they'd reunite them with their rightful owner.
AnythingObscure is correct. Further, tt led to a whole line of jewelry for Tiffany!
Yes key chain first introduced in 69..

Thanks for the help
Interesting I guess the number is registered to the original purchase, which is how they can return the keys to owner.
Exactly correct Steptoe1, the Company kept a file with customer contact info registered to any given keytag number. Many other companies (insurance, fuel, etc) offered similar registered keytags back in the day, some even encouraged the customer to use their Social Security Number in what was then considered a "security measure"...? <eeek>
Thanks anything, nowadays if crooks get your social security number, you will be in debt for years by the time they are finished with you.
