This 2 1-4"W antique goldtone fish brooch has a blend of marcasite & small rhinestone scales, with one red eye. Signed Les Bernard Inc (1963-1996) and featured in book Collecting Costume Jewelry 202 by Carroll
Oh, this is so amazing! I love this Jenni!
Very ancient looking fish brooch you have, and my favorite upload of yours this week, I love it, it definitely makes me think of those Grecian fish you see on fountains, with or without a water spout coming from their mouth. The little scale details are lovely too, like tiny scales already on his scales! :P
Awesome fish brooch!!! Really like the design. Nice catch finding a book piece too. Congratulations!
Also a wonderful personality with beauty !~
Thank you so much for the love

Scott thank you for your super comment and agree this is a pretty amazing fish, it has quite an antique look that could almost be a carving. Very lucky to find this as nice Les Bernard figurals are hard to come by
Thanks Lauren for your wonderful praise and insight, this fish most definitely has an ancient look and I too can picture it spouting water from a stone fountain! I'm so happy you found this fish to be my best upload, the design with the marcasite & rhinestones is really unique and adds to the Grecian type appearance
Thank you FreshAir for your always kind comment and yes, it was very cool to find this fish in that book which is one of my favorites
Phil thank you so much for your delightful comment and thinking this fish has beauty and personality, perhaps it's that bright red eye which appears to have eyelashes that gives this fish a happy gregarious look :)
Thanks Mary & SkyPilot for the thoughtful love, it is very kind of you & glad you liked this antique style fish
What an absolutely delightful fish, leaping out of the water, smiling, glistening, proud she is so beautiful!
Thanks clockerman & Karen for loving this antique style fish, always most gratefully appreciated!
Karen thank you so much for the wonderful compliments, I think this fish does have a lot of good points, esp that blend of marcasite silver & golden rhinestones on its scales, how cool is that
Very grateful for the love of this Les Bernard fish Daisy, you are very kind and I'm so glad you found this appealing :)
