I acquired this old wax jack recently. I did a lot of research and think this may be an original design from late 18th, early 19th Century based on an image I found online of one that was in much better condition. Looks like the original had a handle attached. I included a couple images that show a rough area at the base where it looks like the handle was broken off possibly? Seems to be made by Sheffield? Anyone else think this may be an original?
What does it do ? I'm intrigued
