    Matchbox Monday

Welcome to another episode of MatchBox Monday! In today's episode we feature Tim Allen & Home Improvement TV show collectibles.

1996 Tool Time Action Pack set - featuring the Dixie Chopper & 33 Ford Convertible

And a Tim Allen scissor holder. I used this for about a decade of my 13+ years working in carbon fiber manufacturing. As a matter of fact, the newer kydex holders they use now are based on my piece. We wore coveralls and sciccors were one of our main tools for cutting prepreg and CF bobbins.

Don’t use the scissors to open the matchbox package

Neat, I had not idea that there were Tool Time Hot Wheels. Those are not Fiskar scissors are they? They look too pointy. The orange handle made me think of mine. I recently misplaced the Fiskars I have had for the past 25 years, thought I had accidentally thrown them away. Very traumatic experience! I had not realized how much I used them and valued them. Luckily, they are still cheap on Amazon so I bought another pair and I don't notice a big difference in quality and functionality. Then about a week later, I found my old ones. I also bought a left handed pair, since I am a lefty, but so used to using right handed scissors, they feel odd in my left hand...

Yes, Fishers. We dumped those and went to carbon steel scissors. When I worked in carbon fiber manufacturing, the tools got dulled quickly.
