This TriStar is the first one I got on my own, probably about 10 years ago, from a curbside trash pile in the 'hood. It came along with its Turbo Brush powerhead and two or three modern plastic toy vacs in various stages of disrepair (that all went immediately to the dumpster after having their cords cut off) because the residents owning the trashpile were on their porch when I went around the block and stopped in front of their house, and one answered my 'can I have that' (note the singular) question from the street with his 'sure' and 'take these, too' when he came out to help...whatever, he meant well but I had my eye on the PRIZE... ;-) ;-) ;) :-) :-) :-)
I ordered a replacement cord and hose (and bags) for it from an online source right away after cleaning it out/up. Its motor got cleaned with compressed air and examined (yup, it's a TriStar motor. just fine!) and it has been in regular use ever since in my own home. I think I bought a new brushroll and belt for the Turbo Brush too.
Its underside labels are in pic 4 and serial number 9458773 in pic 3. I didn't realize until this writing that this TRI STAR is, thus, actually also my *newest* machine?!! <woo hoo!!>
THIS THING **REALLY SUCKS**!!!!
(I had to work that phrase into *one* of these vacuum cleaner showings, didn't I...?? <lol>)
