WMF: Ikora Unika

This very large vase, height 36.5 cm, upper diameter 32.5 cm, is shown four times in the hand-colored sales catalog of WMF for the specialist trade from 1928. Once in red 71/3162, and once in green 71/1935, the same shape in 28 cm in gray-green 78/4447 and in green 78/1935. The vase presented here is number 71/1935, but the recipe for the color is most likely rather gray-green, i.e. 4447, as it does not match the colored illustration. However, one must also bear in mind that the egg glaze colors in the catalog could change in almost a hundred years. In the photos you can see two other examples of Ikora.
