This one is different to all the others I have in that is has such a small opening in the top and that the amount under the glass frill that normally seats it in the metal carrier is so shallow? It is in fantastic condition and is lightly uranium, mainly in the base but flows up with the green glass in the pattern to the top. 65mm high and 104mm wide (the frill is the widest part).

I think just an eccentric sort of vase...it would be pretty difficult to scoop out jam from this one. The frill is more likely simply decorative in this case as well, rather than serving the purpose of holding it within a frame. Visually, the low rigaree does a nice job of balancing out the very wide, flaring top rim.

Thanks for your thoughts on this one Marin. Yes I think you are right I was probably wrong in thinking it was for the same purpose as the others, after all it wouldn't be the easiest to wash out afterwards :)
