These two beauties were seen at The Villa Capri's yearly Car Show held in Scranton, PA on June 20th, 2021.
Nice styling on both, and a a nice custom job on the red coupe. The black and red Cadillac Sedan exudes 60s era luxury, It could use a little work, but regardless it is a fine vehicle.
Back when Caddys were a block long! These are really terrific vintage cars Ted
Yes, Jenni...they were the real deal back then! There were many other Caddies at this show, with many restored to the original condition, with others being customized and/or souped up....
Ted, I have been a car-guy since the 1950s. The term “souped up” always puzzled me. What does it mean? I thought it was a misspell of the abbreviation “suped” or supercharged. Please set me on a straight path.
Hi, Gate Keeper...thanks for your question. I always thought that the term referred to cars the received upgrades n performance. This is still it's usual use, but attached is an interesting tale on the terms origin...I am happy to share this with you, and the other readers...so, again, thanks for the question.....https://www.autotrader.com/car-news/origin-term-souped-isnt-what-you-think-265157
Thanks for the soup lesson. Guess my Grandpa was tuning his horses. Another myth busted.
I souped up a lawnmower quite a few years ago. Polished the inside of the air intake, and ground the head. It revved like crazy. I joked about it levitating. Didn’t bog down in deep grass.
The Red Coupe is AWESOME:)
It sure is, Trey !!!!
