This is a beautiful vase that we bought several years ago and I do not remember to whom.
It is very distinctive because of the bright blue color….and the sinuous profile of the art nouveau. It is marked with makers mark JKL for J Kent of Longton in Fenton. In the site http://www.thepotteries.org/allpotters/628.htm it is explained that in 1913 it became a limited company so this vase has more than 100 years because was manufactured before that year. In fact that back stamp seems froma around 1910. It has a registry number that 6965 and made in England in gold, The pattern is not very Egyptian like in my opinion since it is decorated with ornaments and swag's of green Laurel bands with gold trim. The enamel was done in black probably with some type of printing procedure and the colored.
It's delightful, and to me has an almost Dutch shape to it. I guess styles often crossed countries.
Gorgeous blue & lovely garland design
So VERY pretty! Vibrant blue color.
