More of the North American Mammals although Robin Hood was not set in North America. But it does look like a white tail deer which is in North America. Anyway it was a stag from the King's Forest which the people of Sherwood were not allowed to hunt. It is 4" from rear hoof to antler tip.
Also here is a Beaver and another large rodent type mammal. Could be a prairie dog, ground hog or something like that. The Beaver is about 2 1/2 from tail to branch tip. These were used in the Boys Camp set and perhaps some others. These are most likely from the 1950s although the Robin Hood set was sold in the 1960s also. But mostly in the 1960s it was Knights and Vikings, Cowboys and Indians and WWII sets. Also the Alamo.
Marx probably made a thousand or thousands different playset figures. Luckily for me I don't want all of them. Most perhaps.
The beaver figrine is not very realistic. It should be gnawing on a telephone pole or a pole holding an electric power line, not an already fallen branch or large twig.
Fabulous stag, he's majestic with those antlers
Is the other one a wombat?
Thank you very much fattytail. I am thinking you have beavers near you.
Thank you very much Newfld.
Thank you very much Celiene but Marx did not make a wombat.
